Every Road Leads Somewhere or There Wouldn’t Be a Road !
While enjoying our explorations of Mountain Roads, we have discovered a
music that plays to our very soul and come to know musicians who play for
the love of the music and the tradition it represents. Mountain Roads
Recordings supports the music found on the Mountain Roads of this beautiful
part of the world.
Mountain Roads Recordings
strives to discover and promote unique bluegrass, old-time and mountain
music and make quality recordings of these genres available to the world. We
support the artists that associate with our company and adhere to the highest
ethical and artistic standards; we believe that our success is directly
related to the success of our artists.
Mountain Roads Recordings' artist and bluegrass
great, Cullen Galyean, passed away peacefully in his sleep early in the
afternoon of Tuesday July 13, 2010. Cullen was a pioneer in bluegrass music
and while he played most all instruments, he was most at home with his
beloved banjo. He will be missed greatly by us all. If you didn't get to
meet Cullen, watch the video to the right that was made in preparation for
the Born Into Bluegrass project. I was proud to know him and call him my
friend Karl Cooler
